The Mindset Shift You Need to Make

Real talk time – AI is here, it’s not going anywhere, and the speed at which it has already changed so many things is wild. It’s only going to get faster. We could all stick our heads in the sand, but eventually we’ll have to come up for air and we’ll look around thinking, “Damn it, I missed out.”

The mindset shift we need to make is this: AI isn’t here to replace us. It’s here to be a competitive advantage. When used correctly, it’s going to help you grow faster than ever before.

Strategy 1: Use AI to Increase Your Profitability Immediately

The very first thing we should all be doing right now with AI is using it to increase our profitability. It’s not always what everyone wants to hear, but AI can do a lot of things that we were paying team members to do – and it can do it faster and oftentimes better.

You can build yourself a buffer by figuring out how to use the AI tools available in a way that works for you. This doesn’t mean firing your whole team, but rather working smarter, faster, and more efficiently.

How to Get Started:

  • Look at the tasks that are taking too much time for you and your team
  • Set up AI tools and resources that can do these tasks faster and better
  • Use the freed-up time for either reducing costs or focusing on revenue-generating activities

With that freed-up time, you have two choices: reduce your team costs by reducing hours, or use those hours for more revenue-generating activities to help you make more money without spending more.

Strategy 2: Enhance Your Client Experience with AI

Once you’ve given yourself a nice profit buffer, the next step is using AI to dial in and enhance your client experience. There are AI tools right now that take just a few hours to set up, cost about $100 a month, and can be trained to basically coach just like you coach.

The AI Coach Setup:

It’s surprisingly simple – you can take all the videos from your online courses, podcasts, YouTube videos, and upload them into a Google Drive folder. That’s it. The AI is now trained to give advice closely aligned with how you would give advice.

The best part? You can monitor these conversations and edit responses if they’re not quite right. The AI will notify the person of the updated advice and learn that’s the better response.

Strategy 3: Use AI to Work Faster and Stay Competitive

Everything is changing faster than ever, and it’s only going to get faster. This is your opportunity because not everybody is going to keep up. A lot of people will get freaked out and stick their heads in the sand. The ones that don’t are the ones who will not just survive, but thrive.

The Speed Advantage:

What you need to think about is how you can use AI to create content 10 times faster, come up with and refine ideas, create sales pages, create new offers, and test things much faster than before.

What used to take weeks – mapping out a course, writing sales pages, creating emails, setting everything up – can now be done in hours if you have the right AI setup.

Real Example:

I’ve actually created courses that are ready to sell (sales page ready, workbook ready, emails ready) while on a two-hour walk. I was able to copy and paste everything when I got home, pop it into our templates to create the sales page, record the first couple of videos, and send out emails the next day to start making sales.

That’s the speed we can move at now, and we’re going to need to move fast because things are going to change. Offers that were resonating might not resonate as much anymore, and we need to be able to test, tweak, and adapt quickly.

What AI Can Never Replace

While AI is powerful, there are always going to be things it can never replace. These are what we want to free up resources, time, and energy to focus on:

  • Your personal brand and expertise – becoming known as the go-to expert
  • Building genuine community and human connection
  • High-touch customer experiences where you surprise and delight people

These elements will help you ride the AI wave and come out the other side in a couple of years with a bigger, better, more profitable business.

Getting Started: Don’t Try Everything at Once

I don’t recommend jumping in and trying to do all three strategies at once. Sit down, pick one of these areas, and start brainstorming. Let it bubble away.

The goal isn’t about becoming an AI expert overnight. It’s about starting to become familiar with these tools and seeing how you can use them strategically to stay ahead of the curve rather than getting behind it.
