This is Part 1 of our End of Year Planning Series. Stay tuned for Part 2, where we’re diving into the 6-Step Scaling System—what you actually need to focus on in 2026 to scale profitably.
It’s the end of the year. And if you’re like most business owners, you’re probably feeling a mix of exhausted, overwhelmed, and confused about what actually worked this year and what didn’t.
You know you should be planning for next year. But where do you even start when you’re not sure what’s been moving the needle and what’s just been keeping you busy?
That’s exactly why I created The Traffic Light Audit.
It’s the simplest, most clarifying exercise you can do before the year ends. And by the end of it, you’re going to know exactly what to keep, what to fix, and what to leave behind in 2025.
The Problem Most Business Owners Face
Here’s what I see all the time: people go into a new year without actually looking back at what worked and what didn’t.
They just keep doing everything. Or they randomly cut things without really understanding why.
And that’s why they keep spinning their wheels on things that don’t actually move the needle.
The Traffic Light Audit fixes that.
How It Works
The concept is simple: you’re going to categorize everything you did in your business this year using a traffic light system.
- Green light: it worked. Keep it.
- Orange light: it kind of worked, but it needs fixing.
- Red light: it didn’t work. Kill it.
But here’s the thing most people don’t realize: it’s not just about making a list.
The real power comes from the visual clarity you get when you force yourself to categorize. Because when you can see at a glance what’s working and what’s not, patterns emerge that you’d never notice otherwise.
Suddenly you’ll see things like: “Oh, everything connected to Instagram ads was red. But everything connected to my email list was green.”
That’s the kind of insight that changes everything.
The Magic Combination
Once you’ve done the audit, the next step is where things get really powerful.
Because it’s not just about knowing what worked individually. It’s about looking at your green lights and asking: can I combine them?
Can you take a green light traffic source, pair it with a green light conversion mechanism, and sell a green light offer?
When everything in your business is a green light—when your traffic, your conversions, and your offers are all working—everything gets so much easier.
You’re not fighting to make sales. You’re not constantly troubleshooting. You’re just running a smooth, profitable business.
And that’s the goal.
