If you’ve been around here for a while, you’ll know that I’m a bit of nerd for tech. So today, we’re talking software – specifically, online course platform in 2024 and why moved away from our previous platform set up.
When it comes to delivering our online courses, we had been using a few different platforms: Kajabi for our course curriculum, Slack for our community, Zoom for our coaching calls and AddEvent for managing our client’s calendars. While these tools all worked well individually, the lack of cohesiveness and the limitations of Kajabi was really starting to bug me!
Now, a word of warning: moving platforms can be a big procrastination technique and a massive waste of time and money if you don’t need to do it. So while I love new software, I’m usually the first person to discourage anyone from changing platforms unless it’s negatively impacting their business.
Now that that’s out of the way, let’s talk more about why we at Hello Funnels made the move from Kajabi to Circle for our online course delivery!

Exploring Different Online Course Platforms
Before jumping ship to a new fandangled platform, it’s important to do your research. For us, we explored different platforms such as Mighty Networks, Heartbeat and Skool. We considered their features, community style offerings and customisation options. While these platforms had their merits, they didn’t align with our specific needs and preferences. We narrowed down our choices to Mighty Networks and Circle.
There was a battle for which one could serve us best in our online course delivery: which had the better design? Could we have all our course content, community chat and live recordings in one place? What about automation?
Why We Chose Circle
Circle’s simplicity and user-friendly backend were significant factors in our decision – as well as its pretty design! Unlike Mighty Networks, Circle allowed us to easily manage access, grants and pausing of program participants. It streamlined our live call calendar management and gave us the ability to send automated reminders and messages to our community members. We were also impressed with Circle’s flexible pricing structure, where we could add more spaces for an affordable monthly fee. Not only that, our experience with their customer service was second to none!
Remember that while there is a lot of helpful platforms out there to explore for online course, you should only consider making a change if you have significant reasons to. However, if you know it’s time to improve your processes for online course delivery, I highly recommend giving Circle a closer look!
