#205 – Steal our 6-figure social media funnel

Have you seen the abundance of Instagram posts asking you to DM a specific word to receive a freebie?

I’m sure you have! It’s been a hugely popular strategy in recent months and has brought success for a lot of people. How exactly does something so simple create success and profit in your business?

That’s what we’re exploring in today’s episode! I’ll take you through my Instagram funnel and the steps I use to maximise its impact.

Phase One: Engagement

The first phase of a social media funnel is where you engage with your audience and encourage them to opt-in for a freebie or valuable content. This is the bit you’ve seen, where you ask people to DM you a specific word or phrase. It’s a great strategy because you don’t need constant advertising, interested people will come to you. Answering all of these messages would take way too long, and this is where ManyChat comes in. ManyChat allows you to automate responses and can deliver freebies without you lifting a finger.

Lots of people stop here. It’s saved them time and delivered the product to their audience; it couldn’t go further than that right? Wrong! I’ve got two more steps that can supercharge your conversion rates.

 

Phase Two: Qualification

The next step of the social media funnel you need to take is qualification. A bit of time after they received whatever they opted in for, you should check back in with them. This can be as little as 15 minutes or as long as 24 hours. Then tell them you have another offer that could benefit them, making it sound as juicy and exclusive as possible, and ask if they’re interested!  If they say yes, then you want to ask them a qualifying question. This should be something that will help you determine which of your products is best suited to this person. Make sure it’s not too personal and something people will be happy to answer.

 

 

Phase Three: Connect and Convert

The final phase of the social media funnel focuses on connecting with users on a deeper level and guiding them toward conversion. I don’t mean pretending they aren’t talking with a bot; I mean adding personal touches to the automation that helps people connect with you.  Something I’ve recently discovered is that you can upload voice notes into your ManyChat sequence. After phase two I’ll send a note saying how excited I am they’re interested in this offer, and some reasons people have been enjoying it. Obviously, it can’t be personalised for every person, but it really makes things feel more human.  

What happens next on your social media funnel is going to differ for every business and every offer. Maybe some people get sent to a low-ticket offer, another group gets a discount code to access a program, and another group gets invited to book a call with you. Wherever they end up, phase two & three will significantly boost your chances of converting to a sale.
