Funnel tech stacks, software, automations…oh my!
So the mere thought of this, well frankly leaves you feeling a touch scared. Where do you even spend the money to build your funnel tech stack…without breaking the bank?
Prepare yourself…I’m ready to bust some myths about my good friend, funnels.
Funnels don’t have to be hard or expensive. You can have a totally kick-ass funnel for just $38 US a month…yes that’s right – a budget-friendly funnel is possible.
I’m about to walk you through my two recommended funnel tech stacks – a budget option and a best of the best option (which is the tech stack I use for my funnels!).
My funnel tech stack must-haves include
- Email Service
- Courseware Software
- Page Builder
- Countdown Timer
Let’s be honest…I know you’re here for the budget option (who doesn’t love scoring a major bargain?!), but if you’re ready to take the plunge and splash a bit more cash on your funnel set up…I do love options…so I’ve got you covered there too!

The Budget Funnel
Don’t confuse budget with bad. This tech stack does e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g you need!
Up first, you need a really good email service, and my absolute fave (budget or not) is Active Campaign. Not only is it inexpensive (roughly $19), but it’s pretty damn powerful too!
Second, you’ll need courseware software…the good news is that a lot of them out there have free options! To get you started, MemberVault and Teachable both have free options (just double-check the finer details re: commission).
Third, it’s over to your page builder, and Showit (another favourite of mine!) will help you create all of the beautiful pages you need. We will even Showit (ha!) to you, inside my 5k Funnel Program. Showit comes in at around $19.
A countdown timer from WebsiteCountdown will round out your budget tech stack nicely (it’s also free)!

The Best in Business Funnel
Aka the tech I use in my funnel set up…for roughly $210 US a month
Like I said Active Campaign, is the best email service – every day of the week (especially for $19 / month).
For my courseware software while I use Kajabi, I do love Thinkific too (scandalous I know!) simply because it also has a built-in page builder, so that ticks another thing off the funnel must-have list.
I use Showit as my page builder and then use the additional option for WordPress and WordPress hosting which is the $37 a month option.
When it comes to webinars, I have two favourites – Demio (pretty and simple – think Apple) and EasyWebinar (all the bells and whistles, but a bit more function looking – think PC), and they’re both roughly $69 a month.
Countdown timers don’t come much better than Deadline Funnel ($37 a month).
So while it might seem like a lot of money, when you think about…is there any other business out there where your overheads can be as low as $200 a month?
So when I hear…
“Oh, no, I can’t do that, I can’t start automating, I can’t start marketing and growing my list and doing stuff because the tech’s going to be too expensive”
I call BS.
