Welcome to part 2 of our brand new 5 part mini-series, where we’re sharing some of our favourite action plans from inside our eCourse Empire program! It’s an incredible community of course-creators and course-creators to be, who all come into the program to turn their ideas and passions into something profitable. …An action plan is an amazing place to start…
Last week we looked at the action plan for people with no list and no offer, (and you can check out those steps right here!) and today we’re talking to people who already have an audience…
…but no offer.
So, let’s get into it!
WAIT! Before we do jump in, this is a super gold-nugget-packed episode, so while these notes are a great overview, you’re going to want to listen to the full episode to get all the info and details so you can take it away and implement!
Ok, now we can jump in…
You have an audience, but no (leveraged) offer.
First of all, I want to say that this is such a great place to be in. At this stage, you already have a bit of a following, either on social media or on your email list. And now, from here, it’s about getting intentional, setting a plan and sticking to it…
So from here, we’re assuming that you’ve already got the 3 steps in place from last week’s episode: the website, the opt-in and the foundation.)
This is the time to start doing emails if you’ve only been doing social media. And if you haven’t already brought your followers from social onto your list, you need to do that.
Now all of those things are in place and rolling, I’m going to walk you through the steps of creating your first leveraged offer…
What do we mean by a leveraged offer?
A leveraged offer is something that you can deliver to 5 people or 500 people and the delivery effort is not going to change much for you…
You can’t serve 500 people 1:1, right? But a leveraged offer means you can deliver that amazing value and content to a larger audience, without adding the extra time commitment to match.
It’s the definition of working smarter and not harder.
Step #1: STOP. Get intentional
This is something we make our eCourse Empire students go through, no matter what stage of business they’re in. And we ask them to check back in on it regularly as well.
Because it is so important to think about what it is you really want. What do you want your business to help you to achieve as a human in 3 years, 5 years, 10 years time, what does that look like for you?
In the episode I take you through some questions to ask yourself as well as how to come up with what we call our ‘Deal Breakers’ in business. So you can figure out not only what you want, but also what you’re absolutely not wanting in your business and life.
This includes being careful to not just do something because your audience is asking for it. You need to know if that’s something you actually want to work on and teach.
Knowing what you do and don’t want will inform the kind of business you create and the kinds of offers you create moving forward.
Step #2: Stalk your people
The next thing you need to do is LISTEN to your audience.
What do they get excited about? Wich content do they engage with? What do they react to? And what are the questions do you get asked regularly?
And because you’re in the amazing position of having an audience already, you could consider doing a survey and asking them what they’re needing help with? What are they finding valuable?
Then you need to get your detective hat on and see if there’s something in there that you can see they need…that they don’t even know to ask for yet.
So, yes you might feel a bit stalkery here, but it’s important to get to know your lovely followers almost better than they know themselves.
Step #3: Start with something easy to sell (optional)
Ok, now all of that detective/stalkery work means that you should now start to have a bit of an idea of what kind of offer you could create for your audience…
And I have a bonus step in here for you: (And this particularly for people who are new to selling online, this could be the confidence-booster you need.)
So, I would suggest you create a ‘toe-dip’ product, just to get up and running with something that’s easy to create and sell. It’s not going to be your forever product, it’s just something small that can get some wins on the board for you. For example: a paid workshop or training.

Step #4: Share the journey
Ok, so this is more of a piece of advice, rather than a ‘step’ but it’s just as important.
As you start selling online, you may find that people might start pushing back a bit. Especially if you’ve been offering a lot of high-value content for free for a long time… As soon as you start to start creating something even MORE valuable and charging for it? People can get annoyed.
Which is mega rude and how dare they. You’ve been giving away stuff for free for so long! You’re allowed to charge what you’re worth.
So to help with this, I want you to try and bring them along for the ride. Include them in the journey, share behind the scenes clips, tell them when you’ve got a great idea and ask them to vote on pieces like the product name etc.
Share your excitement for what you’re creating FOR THEM, and how much it’s going to help where they’re at. Because if they know that this is for THEM as much as it is for you, that’s going to help them feel like they’re part of the journey. And they’ll be excited alongside you.
Step #5: The Beta Launch Plan (Test BEFORE you invest)
REPEAT AFTER ME:
“I will ALWAYS test before I invest.”
This is one of our mottos here at Hello Funnels. We’re thinking of getting t-shirts done. (Yay or nay?)
And what this means in this scenario here, is that whatever you’re creating for your signature offer (mastermind, membership site, online coaching program, etc) that BEFORE you spend weeks/months creating it…
You need to know it’s going to pay you back for all your resources and time you’re going to invest in creating it.
So, you need to pre-sell your offer, before you actually create it.
What does that look like? Well, you guessed it, I walk you through more of the nitty-gritty in the episode. But basically you would only need to set up the welcome content and then you would drip feed the content week by week.
And then you just need a way to sell the offer!
It’s just going to give you better bang for your buck to focus on the launch plan here, rather than creating the product itself.
